Introduction

A listed Barn conversion in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The property has large airy rooms and is largely surrounded by fields on a quiet lane one mile

from the village of Dent.

 
Pre-Arrival

• The cottage is one mile from the village of Dent which has a General Store and Information Point.
• There is a public telephone kiosk in the village and cafes and 2 public houses.
• The reception for mobile telephones is not good at the cottage but a short walk will take you within

   a reception area.
• The nearest town is 5 miles away in Sedbergh which has a variety of shops, a Spar, cafes and pubs.
• Sedbergh is designated a 'Book Town' with a number of book shops.
• Buses run from Dent to Sedbergh and details can be found in the cottage.
  Taxis are available in Dent.

 
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• The entrance to the property is through a gate and car parking is in the area in front of the house.

  There is parking for three cars. The area in front is cobbled and the drive from the gate is steep and gravelled. 
• The area is rural and there is no street lighting so visitors should arrange for outside lights to be switched on

   if arriving at night. 

 
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

  Leading from the car parking area to the front door the ground is uneven and cobbled. There is only one entrance

   to the property. The hall is large and leads into the main living room, to which there is one step.  The kitchen is off

   the living room and also has one step down.

• There are stairs leading up from the hall up to a landing area with carpets and a rug.
• Steps lead down to the master bedroom and also one step down to the bathroom.

• The sitting room is large and fully carpeted throughout. There is a multi fuel stove and background heating. 
• There are steps into and out of this room to the kitchen.
